I have to admit this took a while, but my paper An Evaluation of a GPU Radiosity Solver which was accepted as short paper for GRAPP 2010 can now be found for downloading in the Publication Section.

I also added some information about the paper Knoocks - A Visualization Approach for OWL Lite Ontologies which was presented at ONAV 2010.

I attended the International Conference on Geometry and Graphics (ICGG 2010) which was held in Kyoto, Japan this year. Two papers which I have co-written got accepted, namely Algorithms for Generation of Irregular Space Frame Structures and Force Directed Near-Orthogonal Grid Generation on Surfaces. Btw: its not Kyoto in the image.

Simone Kriglstein just put a website about her ontology visualization tool Knoocks (short for Knowledge Blocks) - for which I did some programming in C# and OpenGL - online.

This years colloquium of the Croatian Society for Geometry and Graphics was held in Velika, near Pozega and the Nature Park Papuk.

This time I also uploaded the slides (pdf, approx. 11 mb) of my presentation about Problems with Hemispherical Projections for Visibility Determination.

It seems this blog needs a new entry. I therefore upped my doctoral thesis, which is now available in the publication section.

I also moved my diploma thesis to the publication section, which until now had its own entry in the menu.

And I also added information about my paper An extended GPU radiosity solver which I have presented this year at the CGI'09 conference.

On a side note, I also removed some broken links.

I added a paper about Geometry of Arbitrary Light Distributions to the publication section. It's about rendering of light sources with arbitrary light distributions. This way you are not restricted to the standard OpenGL light source types.

And I also uploaded a pdf version of the paper Force Directed Embedding of Hierarchical Cluster Graphs.

The 13th Colloquium was held in Porec this year and I gave a presentation with my colleague Franz Gruber about Images and Mathematics. It was about graphical representation about mathematical concepts.

Breaking with tradition there are no photos of the location this time, instead you can find some images of the presentation after the break. These images where originally made for the book Bilder der Mathematik from Georg Glaeser and Konrad Polthier which will be released in November this year.

From May 12 to May 17 I have attended the ROGICS '08 conference in Mahdia, Tunisia were I gave a talk about drawing of graphs with cluster hierarchies. I added the paper as well as a high resolution screenshot to the publication list.

I have added the paper GPU Radiosity for Triangular Meshes with Support of Normal Mapping and Arbitrary Light Distributions to the publication list. You can find the abstract here and the full paper at the WSCG homepage.

For those of you, who prefer to play games in a browser I added a trimmed-down flash version of the game to the Furry Animals website. The version includes two levels.

From September 16 to 20 I have attended the 12th Colloquium of the CSGG in Vukovar. I gave a lecture about Adaptive Mesh Subdivision for Radiosity.

My paper - which I wrote for an university course - about Cloth Simulation and Rendering is now available for download in the publications section or directly from the Computer Graphics Group of the Technical University Vienna.

During the last couple of days I made some updates to the website. I restructured the menu a little bit, which now should also work with Internet Explorer 7.

A Crazy Furry Animals overview has been added to the games section. Additionally, three papers were added the publications section (formaly known as paper section).

In 1993 Lucas Arts released Sam & Max - Hit the Road and now, after 13 years of waiting, Telltale Games released the first episode Sam & Max - Culture Shock. I already made the mind boggling preorder deal (all 6 episodes) at their website. The game received very good reviews, for example Eurogamer gave a whopping 9 out of 10. Read also the interesting interview with Dave Grossman (one of the designers of Day of the Tentacle) at Gamasutra.

Crazy Furry Animals is a game I have been programming the last couple of months. Graphics and sound were done by Simone Kriglstein. It's an arcade style game which controls can be learned in less than no time ;)
